The Popular Café Mural – Mullumbimby
A very long painting of a landscape
The Popular Café at Mullumbimby is now gone.
I have these images of the mural which stretched around the four walls from shoulder height to the ceiling.
I used acrylic house paint with tints of artist quality colors,
This mural took months to complete as there was no hurry and Pat (the owner) would always ensure I left with a full belly.
So I would leave all my brushes and paints behind the shop and wander into town when I felt like painting or eating. Most of the work was carried out with a 5 inch brush, the walls were old plaster. – scroll down to see the images
